Who We Are

Hello! 

My name is TJ Hobbs and I’m the founder of TaskCasket.

TaskCasket is a small local business established in August 2021. I developed TaskCasket to help make life easier for folks living in the Fox Valley while also making it possible to maintain my commitment to the community via the Hope Fridge mutual aid project. At the moment, TaskCasket has one employee (myself), but we are aiming to grow quickly to better meet the needs of our community.

Our mission at TaskCasket is to help our community one person at a time by taking care of your cleaning and to-do list items for you. We’re capable of handling nearly any mess or miscellaneous task. TaskCasket is different from your typical cleaning service as we offer help with so much more than cleaning. If you’re wondering if TaskCasket can help you with something, we probably can!

I was born in Milwaukee and I’m a University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alum. I have worked professionally as a cleaner, painter, handyperson, pet-sitter, mover, caregiver, driver, and musician since 2008. I enjoy staying active and helping others. I married my best friend Bowen Hobbs in Los Angeles, California and we have two pugs together named Burrito & Carl. Burrito is 12 years old and Carl is 1 year old . My favorite band is The Mountain Goats, and my favorite podcast is “Beautiful Anonymous” by Chris Gethard.

In April 2021, I founded the Hope Fridge mutual aid project. We organized the building and maintenance of three community fridges and pantries in the Fox Valley area - two in Oshkosh and one in Neenah. We aim to continue expanding Hope Fridge into the Fox Valley beginning in the spring/summer of 2022.

I believe we all have a responsibility to uplift others. I look forward to having the opportunity to continue to do so via TaskCasket. Thank you for helping me take care of my family while helping you with your to-do list projects.
